  • Why is the Predators logo of a Saber-Toothed Tiger? 

    The Predators unveiled their logo, a saber-toothed tiger, in Nashville's downtown First American Center on September 25, 1997, 26 years after a fang and foreleg bone of a saber-toothed tiger was found in a cave just below the building's address.

  • Who is the first Player to have their number retired?

    Pekka Rinne was the first player to have his number retired by the Nashville Predators. No. 35 ended his career in Nashville as the franchise leader in almost every goaltending statistic, including games played (683), saves (17,627), wins (369), shutouts(60) and goals against average (2.43). 

  • Where did "Smashville" come from? 

    Nashville's fanbase is said by many to be among the loudest in the National Hockey League, with sound levels reaching over 120 dB during the playoffs. This has contributed to the team also being called "Smashville".
